In the heart of the Walt Disney World® Resort, the award-winning Walt Disney World Dolphin is the gateway to Central Florida’s greatest theme parks and attractions. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is an Epcot® resort hotel. Guests of the resort enjoy complimentary scheduled transportation throughout the entire Walt Disney World® Resort so that you can come and go at your convenience.
A comfortable water taxi offers access from the Disney resorts' dock, running approximately every 20 – 25 minutes to and from Epcot® and Disney's Hollywood Studios™. Or you can take a leisurely stroll along a series of walkways that will also lead you to the entrance of these two theme parks.
Disney resort shuttle buses arrive at the main entrance of the Disney hotels approximately every 20 - 25 minutes to transport guests to Magic Kingdom® Park, Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, Disney Springs® area, and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.

Designated in 1981, Lake Cherokee Historic District contains approximately 160 historic structures, primarily residences dating back to the 1870’s. The district boundaries are East-West Expressway on the north, Orange Avenue on the west, Cherokee Drive and Gore Street on the south, and Summerlin Avenue on the east. This area is primarily residential. Building activity began in the 1870s when the Lake was known as Lake Minnie. The eclectic Shingle/Neoclassical style Peleg Peckham - Dr. Phillips House (1893) on North Lucerne Circle East is representative of historical architecture of the City.
