I am really proud of the ODTUG Analytics community volunteers, Joel Acha, Mark Daynes, Wayne Van Sluys, Brendan Doyle, Barry Mostert, and the rest of the Oracle team for making this challenge such a great success. The submissions were also fantastic to go through, with so many exploring new Oracle Analytics and Autonomous Data Warehouse features. The judging team sure had a lot of great entries to pick from and I am planning to highlight some of those the coming weeks. Joel Acha has the honor of announcing the winner of the challenge below.
Firstly, we’d like to thank everyone who participated in this challenge—the participants, the ODTUG team, the Oracle Analytics Product Management Team, and the ODTUG volunteers. There was a significant increase in participation in this second challenge and we hope to build on this growth for future challenges.
After a lot of deliberation, we’d like to say a huge congratulations to the Performance Architects team:
- Autumn Morrice, Marketing Associate
- Cameron Ross, Senior Consultant
- Doug Ross, Manager Architect
- Jeff Wade, VP Sales & Marketing Alliances
Their team has won the second ODTUG Oracle Analytics Storytelling Challenge with their presentation "Welcome to the Performance Architects Superstore!"
"The Performance Architects team enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the ODTUG Storytelling Challenge. The rich feature set available to OAC users made the experience very positive especially with the built-in capabilities for custom maps, machine learning, and advanced visualizations. Thank you ODTUG and Oracle for providing the environment and oversight during the challenge." - Doug Ross, Manager Architect
We have collected feedback from participants as part of the submission process and we will be taking this into consideration for future challenges we put together.
We would like to thank everyone who showed interest and extend a big thank you to those who submitted entries. We plan to conduct another challenge contest, so be on the lookout for more information in the near future.
